In common with other Civil Engineering categories, Steelfixing and Formwork are not entered under an apprenticeship scheme. The only route to qualification is an NVQ as an experienced worker.

The NVQ is a nationally recognised qualification which is for life, it does not expire.

Each of these NVQ’s entitles the operative to a CSCS card when they pass the touch screen test.
